Ingredients Vegetable Soup :

3 liters of water
2-3 cloves garlic
1-2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
1 cup chopped celery leaves
1/4 onion
1 large bunch rosemary
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon sage
juice of half a lemon

When you are sitting in your home with flu and cold, all that you would need at this point of time is a bowl of hot piping soup that would make you feel homely and comfortable. This is the reason why winter vegetable soup is known as comfort food that helps in eliminating flu and cold. 

The vegetables that go in the making of the vegetable soup is seasonal and is found in the winter. Each element not only adds to the flavour but also adds a healing property that makes it richer. Veggies such as shallots, carrots, leek, celery, parsnip along with dumpling and chicken is a heavenly soup that can cure any flu and cold. 

How To Make The Chicken Veggie Wonton Soup To Cure Your Flu And Cold? 

Ingredients

  • Chicken
  • Pasta/ or flour
  • Egg
  • Chicken stock/ vegetable stock
  • Celery
  • Carrot
  • Onion/shallots
  • Parsnip
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Salt 
  • Pepper
  • Butter
  • Mushrooms. 

Method: Take a large pan and heat it up. Add some butter and sofrito, some chopped shallots, carrots, celery until translucent. Add the twigs of rosemary and thyme and fry a bit until it is aromatic. Add chicken stock and let it simmer. Don’t boil it. Simmer it. 

Take another pan and add butter. Cut your chicken in small little pieces and fry it until it is golden. Add the chicken into the soup and let it simmer. 

Take a bowl and add a bit of flour and add eggs into it, add chicken stock to make it into a paste. Use a spoon to put dallops into the soup so that it can cook. You can use pasta or store-bought wontons too if you want. It works the same. After everything is cooked, season it lightly and recheck it. Serve it piping hot and enjoy. Hope you like it.
